PilatesPilates is a gentle floor exercise class designed to improve your posture, your core strength and your flexibilty. The focus is on improving muscular tone by promoting a stable abdominal and shoulder region. Created over eighty years ago by Joseph H. Pilates, the exercise system was initially popular with dancers and other performers, and has since gone on to become popular in the fitness world. Pilates coordinates mind, body and breath to develop sleek and functionally strong abdominal muscles, a strong and supple back, and aligns the shoulder girdle.
